We ordered remote controlled, top down blackout blinds for our bedroom and they are amazing! They are beautiful, professional, were relatively easy to hang and open and close smoothly with the remote. The solar panel is genius. They charge quickly and Yoolax customer service has great response time.

The shade arrived about a week before expected. It was packaged very well. I was concerned when the package arrived as the outer cardboard had some damage. When opened I found that the shade was covered with closed cell foam which protected it from any damage. Installation went fairly smoothly. The screws that come with the hanging hardware did not fit the plastic anchors well. They pulled away when the shade was hung up. Fortunately, we had larger screws that were substituted. The shade would not have taken long to install if the screws hadn’t had to be replaced. The shade was wide and took 2 “smiling people” (IYKYK)to hang. Even having to take everything down, look for other screws, and rehanging the shade it still took under an hour. Remote works as shown. Very happy with this purchase.

Great value for motorized products. Fairly easy to set up but can take some time to make adjustments to the settings. Construction quality and production turnaround time is excellent.

I really wanted to leave a 5-star review. I ordered over $2,500 worth of Yoolax Matter shades and blinds (8 total items), and the initial installation went smoothly. Unfortunately, one of the motors failed the day after delivery, and resolving that issue turned into a month-long process involving three separate shipments.

Yoolax first sent a replacement motor, which required extensive remote pairing and calibration. I spent well over 10 hours troubleshooting—watching videos, re-pairing, setting limits, and working through support steps. During setup, the motor repeatedly failed to stop correctly and would bind violently, creating a real risk of damaging the shade.

Eventually, Yoolax sent a full replacement shade. That unit worked perfectly and was installed and connected to Matter, Alexa, and SmartThings in about five minutes. That contrast is the core issue: the final solution was simple, but the path to get there was unnecessarily complex and time-consuming.

The hardware itself can be excellent when it works. However, the support process, motor-first troubleshooting approach, and demo-style videos (instead of clear failure-specific guidance) made this far more difficult than it needed to be. I’m currently waiting on return instructions and a refund for the extra components.

If everything works out of the box, you’ll likely be happy. If it doesn’t, be prepared to invest significant time.
