Yoolax Motorized Roller Shades | Blackout

The blinds and the color (charcoal) are exactly what we were hoping they would be. So nice having the electric mode as well because these windows are high. They are also 'blackout', which is perfect for our bedroom.

5 star rating for Yoolax customer service team. They did what it took for my order to be just what i was looking for, even faster than I expected. They kept me up to date with status and I recommend them for wireless motorized blackout blinds.

Great product for a good price! Easy to install, great material, looks wonderful. Programming took some time but once that was done we were very happy and would recommend to others.

This is our second time ordering from Yoolax. First the Zebra shade and now the Blackout Curtains. Yoolax offers so my options that allow you to create the product the way you want. Both times the products were spot on to my measurements. End the end the product looks so beautiful.

I ordered three custom blinds for my master bedroom and measured them a few inches too short. I contacted the customer service team and the return process was extremely simple and I am 100% satisfied with my purchase and return. We love the blinds and will be ordering more for the rest of the house. Highly recommend!

Looking at covering our 24’ back patio door which was proving extremely difficult. Only options were to do custom coverings, i.e. blinds, roll ups, shades etc. Looking at custom companies here in Florida all gave quotes ranging from 6-8k. Had looked at yoolax a while back but was skeptical at first. Decided to go with them for the roll up blinds, ended up doing 3 separate ones that cover the whole patio door area and wow they are incredible! Ended up paying around $1600 all in with remotes and everything. Expedited shipping was only $30 and we had the blinds in less than two weeks! Very easy to install and they look and function incredibly well. I would give 10 stars if I could, and I have recommended them to everyone I know who’s been looking at similar blinds. Basically blend in the surround of the door and are awesome for black out shades at night. Will buy from them again in the future for window treatments.

These work amazingly well! We have had them up for over a year now and they work flawlessly. Hooked up to Alexa and haven’t disconnected once! They are high quality and built really well. I’ve only charged them twice since purchase and they have never died on me. Once one you get them connected you shouldn’t have any issue. Works well with the remote as well.

This is an excellent purchase. We wanted a roller shade for our French Door but our regular roller shade company estimated $1500, way too much! The French Door is uncovered most of the time but want some privacy ability. The box arrived earlier than expected, very well packaged. Instructions and parts were well done and easy to follow. Had it up and working in a half hour. Came with remote and usb cable to charge. Manual says charge could last 3-6 months, depending on use. Overall, very pleased with quality.

These arrived sooner than expected and were exactly as described, perhaps even better. I ordered the Grayish White. This is a total blackout shade and the installation was very easy. Customer service is outstanding, and the product is of high quality. This seller/store has offered the best communication I've ever had in my life and kept me updated every step of the way without me having to ask questions. The cherry on top is the product arrived over a week earlier than expected! I am so happy I went ahead and ordered a second one for my other son's bedroom. I was nervous ordering for such a large window, but I couldn't be happier. I haven't had to charge it since it's first charging after installing it in late July 2022 (it is now January 2023). The color is great and it effectively blocks out the light.Easy to install and it was a perfect fit! If you are questioning buying or not, go ahead and buy - it's worth the money and I'd even say it's a deal for the quality. Planning on ordering for the back sliding door as well as our 8 foot tall front door that is all windows.You can change the speed of opening/closing, but I opted for the slower speed to avoid the somewhat louder sound it makes.

We needed a blind for a large (58x58) window over the bathtub. Access is awkward because of the tub making a standard blind difficult to raise and lower. Enter the Yoolax. Ordering was easy, just be very precise in your measurements. Measure the width at several levels and use the narrowest measurement. Installation was a snap. 3 brackets, six screws. One bracket 5" from each end and one in the center. We ordered the valance and the solar panel. Our solar panel is mounted horizontally at the upper right corner, hidden by the blind if it is not quite fully retracted. One note: the directions warn against mounting the solar panel inside if the light transmissivity of the window is less than 70%, and against mounting it where the eave or other obstruction blocks direct sunlight. The assembly seems to be well made so I don't expect durability to be an issue but only time will tell.

The ordering process was easy. I was even able to change things before final order as I realized my needs changed. They were quick to respond and get it just right. Product arrived when they said it would. Installation was fairly simple. If I had one critique it would be a little more words in the directions and not just pictures but EV a non-expert like me was able to figure it out. Works perfectly.

Blinds are great, easy install. But no clue how to add to an app to create schedules and automations. Own 6 Wi-Fi connected blinds and purchased multiple zigbee hubs (Yoolax recommended) to connect but incredibly frustrating process. Still have no idea how to add to an iOS app. I dont own an Alexa nor Google Home, BroadLink used RF frequency that doesnt reach far enough to trigger all blinds. So Im stuck with just the remote. I wish there was clear instructions. Could be such an awesome product.*EDIT*Yoolax Blinds are NOW HomeKit Compatible via Hubitat Elevation Home Hub! Easily was able to pair Yoolax blinds through Hubitat AND add HomeKit functionality. Blinds can be triggered via Siri and show up in Apple's 'Home' App! Updating my original post from 4 stars to 5 stars!

Bought a set for 6 windows in our bedroom - 2 of them with valences on our French doors
Whilst rather easy to install, for the Valence one I would have liked to have a more 'flush' approach (see picture)
To help close the gap on the sides, I added those side guides on each side of the curtain - They eventually greatly help darken the room (Otherwise I had about 2 inch opening on the side)

Finally, the programming of the stops (Top and End) are not that trivial, but a few searches on Youtube and finally looking at the programming manual make sense. (I struggled for about 1 hour on this but then it was easy once I understood the sequence ;-)

Now we enjoy watching all 6 curtain rise before we get off the bed - Lovely feeling !

March 2023 - Update
One of the 6 blinds was giving some random connectivity issues (not coming down at night when all other 5 were coming down- After contacting Yoolax customer service-, mainly ensuring the blind was properly charged, they agreed to send FOC a new motor - Easy install, and all works as before)
Great after sales service also !

I would highly recommend these blinds. Very easy to install. Alexa enabled. I have mine set to open and close with sunrise and sunset. These blinds always impress!

After getting a sticker shock quote from Hunter Douglas I decided to search for other options for motorized blinds. I found Yoolax on Amazon. I ordered 6 plug in motorized blinds and 2 battery blinds. I picked the navy blue color and it is a beautiful dark blue almost dark denim color of blue. I love them! I love the color! I love the easy to use remote. The blinds are quiet. No cords. No pulling on blinds with dirty hands. My experience with Yoolax was 10 stars. The communication from before ordering to ordering and installing was excellent. If I could give them more than 5 stars for customer service I would. We did have a few issues with installing them but Yoolax customer service was quick to respond and help. I had one blind with the motor on the wrong side and they helped me move it to the other side. I had a small little plastic piece break on install and a motor that wasn’t happy and they quickly sent me the replacement parts. Initially I found the instructions to be confusing but once I figured out how the settings worked on the remote to do the adjustments it became easy to understand. The instructions are correct but it just took me a few minutes to understand it. I LOVE THESE BLINDS! I really can’t say enough on how awesome they are. We got the black out blinds because the one side of our house is extremely sunny and they help keep the hot sun out. I have no regrets on ordering these blinds. I have 4 more windows that will need blinds soon and I will definitely order these again.
