I am not a bot or fake reviewer, I’m just a guy who did a fair amount of research on automated shades and arrived at Yoolax, and happy I did. The Yoolax app and Bluetooth hub take very little setup to get these working with Alexa or Google, and they come sized to the exact inches specified in the order form. They look very modern, and are hypnotic to see in action all in tandem. If you love the novelty of shouting at your digital assistant to modify the lights in your smart home, I can recommend these shades as a good option for the windows. The cat is suspicious of them though lol
I had looked for shades for my windows for a long time. I am glad that I finally found something that is easy to install and can be remote controlled. I ordered fabric samples first because I wanted to see them in person. I am glad that I did because the fabric colors look different in each room. I got the luxury gray fabric seen in the photos, which looks different in various lighting. It took me a few tries (and a couple of extra holes in my sheetrock later) to install because my shades came with too simple instructions. I couldn’t tell how far away from the windows to place the brackets so the front would be flush and even. I eventually figured it out by trial and error. I also had to cut the wrapping paper before installation contrary to the instructions. I love how beautiful it looks in my space! I ordered a Bluetooth hub so I can connect with Alexa. The Bluetooth hub seems to extend the connection throughout my large house, with multiple floors. I can now control it with the remote control, on my phone with an existing app (Smart Life), and on Alexa. I had to change the names around on Alexa because it didn’t work if some of the items had similar names. The phone app instantly recognized the shades. Now everything works smoothly. I plan to order for the rest of my house.
We really like these blinds. We haven’t gotten them set up to our phone or Alexa yet. But we were able to get the remotes set. Took a little time figuring out how to set our favorites. We had to set a favorite on separate channels, then put them in a group. If you just hit the down button one was slightly faster, so when we placed it at 50% down, it bugged my husband because it was even (LOL)>. But we are enjoying these blinds.
These work amazingly well! We have had them up for over a year now and they work flawlessly. Hooked up to Alexa and haven’t disconnected once! They are high quality and built really well. I’ve only charged them twice since purchase and they have never died on me. Once one you get them connected you shouldn’t have any issue. Works well with the remote as well.
This product has been impressive so far easy installation and it does everything we brought it for which was to block the sun at certain parts of the day and moderate wind gusts it also has automated functioning that allows you to adjust to perform certain tasks when you’re not around based on your specific area weather or simply to have it open and close when you want it to which is also a plus we only opted for the Bluetooth version and it does everything we need it to do it shipped directly from the factory and it didn’t take very long to receive it tip try to make guide cables tight so that it doesn’t act like a sail it came as ordered motor on the side we needed color of material solar option included etc… so far we’re happy with the performance as well if the product has any issues we’ll update accordingly but for now great product
This is an excellent purchase. We wanted a roller shade for our French Door but our regular roller shade company estimated $1500, way too much! The French Door is uncovered most of the time but want some privacy ability. The box arrived earlier than expected, very well packaged. Instructions and parts were well done and easy to follow. Had it up and working in a half hour. Came with remote and usb cable to charge. Manual says charge could last 3-6 months, depending on use. Overall, very pleased with quality.
I installed this in the vestibule of my front entryway to protect the front door from getting blasted by the sun in the late afternoon. The door is chestnut and I want it to look nice for the long haul. So far for 12 years I have had to lightly sand and recoat the varnish every year. I am getting tired of that routine and I think this shade will allow me to pare that back to maybe once every three years.My interactions with email customer service were informative and prompt. The product installed easily (I didn't install the wire guides or magnetic clips though because it is dead calm there - hence the heat build up issue I have in that vestibule) and it is performing well. I can still see through the front door windows because the fabric allows some light transmission but protects from almost all of the blazing sun. Would recommend.
We love our shade with solar charge, have had no issues for 11 months then the shade quit responding to the remote. You have to schedule a call with the service department which the first available was the next day. The support rep communicated with me throughout the waiting period and 10 minutes before our time called me. You communicate through What’s App which I had to install. Once installed it was very easy to communicate. I had to reset the connection between the shade and the remote. After it was reconnected I was instructed on how to reset the limits. The rep sent me printed instructions to follow and keep in case it happens again. It was a very efficient process and fixed my problem with ease. Thank you.
I received this today and just finished installing. So far I'm very happy with them. They look great and function perfectly so far. Excellent price point for what you're getting!
just got 5 of these and installed around bedroom and bathroom. they look exactly as advertised, white color is perfect and they blackout the room! the remote is super easy to use, this is going to be an amazing convenience that i want to install all over my house now!
